ABSTRACT :

This study aims to determine the condition of the company's financial performance in the transportation sector during the Covid-19 outbreak which companies was listed on the IDX for the period I-III quarter of 2020 when viewed from cross sectional and time series financial ratios. And to determine the relationship between financial ratios as a factor that affects financial performance with the classical assumption test and hypothesis testing.

The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique with the criteria of (1) transportation sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (2) transportation sector companies that issued company financial report during the study period. Obtained 10 companies as samples. The data used in this study is secondary data in the form of financial reports which are accessed from the website www.idx.co.id. The financial ratios used to measure financial performance is proxied by Return on Assets as variable Y and the factors that affect financial performance ratios are Net Profit Margin as (X1), Debt to Equity Ratio as (X2) and Total Asset Turnover as (X3) .

The results of this study indicate that financial performance conditions decreased (unstable condition) during the pandemic period I-III 2020 when viewed from the ratio of net profit margin and debt to equity ratio, but from the ratio of total asset
turnover, although the value was quite low, it was still in a stable condition. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that there is a simultaneous effect between NPM, DER, TATO on financial performance (ROA).
