ABSTRACT

Debt policy is a policy taken by management to obtain financing sources intended for the company's operational activities. This study aims to find out the effect of managerial ownership, company size and profitability on debt policy.

The object studied in this study is a food and beverage company listed on the Indonesia Stock exchange (IDX) in 2016-2020.This study used secondary data from 9 samples of food and beverage company financial statements and this sampling using purposive sampling technique. The classic assumption tests in this study include normality tests, multicolinearity tests, and heteroskedastisity tests. Data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis, t test, f test, and determination coefficient test.

Analyze data using Eviews 9.The results showed that partially (t test) managerial ownership variables negatively and significantly affect debt policy, company size variables negatively and significantly affect debt policy, and profitability negatively and significantly affect debt policy on food and beverage companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, simultaneous research results (test f) show a significant influence of managerial ownership variables , the size of the company and profitability of the debt policy on food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
