Abstrak:
This study aims to analyze the effect of capital structure, firm age and corporate characteristics on the financial performance of the company. The population in this study were 37 manufacturing companies (consumer goods industry sector) listed on the BEI. Sampling using Purposive Sampling. The sample in this research is 25 manufacturing companies (consumer goods industry sector) listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). Data analysis technique using multiple linear regression analysis.

The results of this study indicate that the capital structure and size of the company have a significant influence on financial performance partially while the age of the company has a not significant influence on financial performance. Simultaneously the capital structure, company age and corporate characteristics together have a significant influence on financial performance. Adjusted R-Square value of 0.850270, meaning the magnitude of determination coefficient of 0.850270 it states that the independent variable explain the dependent variable of 85.0270%. The remaining 17.9730% is influenced by other variables outside the regression model in this study such as managerial ownership.
